My December Birchbox has arrived!! It actually arrived last week but I had an Ugly Sweater party to throw this past weekend so I didn’t get a chance to post until today I was super excited about this month’s Birchbox, the samples inside were much more exciting than last month.
Here’s a breakdown of my take home this month:
Harvey Prince Ageless: I’ll be the first to admit, I’m horrible when it comes to describing fragrances. This month’s scent sample is very sweet and fruity (that’s about all I can give you) and a little goes a long way. As I said last month, I don’t wear perfume much anymore, but I’ve been wearing this one everyday since I got my box and I’m a fan.
EBOOST Orange Natural Energy Booster: I LOVED this drink mix! As a pharmacist I totally don’t support the whole Vitamin C prevents colds/flu thing, but this also has caffeine, green tea, and several other ingredients that can help give you a little extra boost of energy when you need it. It also tasted AWESOME-creamsicle with effervesence….so good!
Benefit The POREfessional: Let me first say that I’m not a huge make-up aficionado. I wear powder, blush, light eyeshadow, and mascara to work and I’ll add in some eyeliner on the weekends but I’m more of an au naturale kind of girl. That being said, I have tried my share of products in the past including a couple primers-Smashbox photo finish being one of them. I was pretty impressed by POREfessional. The pores on my nose and cheeks are somewhat noticeable and this did a good job of toning them down and it made my skin feel nice and silky, similar to Smashbox.
Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink: It looks like a scary bright neon pink in the tube but if you only apply a coat or two it gives a soft and shiny pink color that can be worn with almost anything.
L’Oreal Professional Mythic Oil: A couple months ago I was introduced to Moroccan Oil by my hairdresser so when I found this in the box I was excited to try a new brand. I use this like I do the Moroccan Oil when I’m going to straighten my hair and its just softens it up and tames frizz. Not going to lie, I loveeee the smell of the Moroccan Oil so it would be hard to get me to switch, but this a comparable substitute.
Showstoppers Designer Fashion Tape: Maybe this would have come in useful back in my “clubbin’ days”, as Mike calls them, but this is the only December item I have yet to try. My clothes aren’t really in need of double sided tape these days but who knows, I’ve got tons of weddings coming up next year, maybe it will come in handy.
